Live Concept
The live setup would be a hybrid of electronic and acoustic instruments and sounds, allowing us to capture the essence of the new EP, which sees Margo's familiar fairy tale sound collide with a new, electronic direction.
We would aim to create soundscapes and grooves using samples, drum machines, and synthesisers, while decorating these foundations with live flute, saxophone and cello. All of this would be based on a foundation of playback, run from a table where all the synths are. The stage setup would look something like this:
The idea is for the show to look and sound like a combination of a DJ set and an Orchestra, creating the amalgamation of organic beauty and glitched rhythm that you find across this record.
The show would pull you back and forth between the two sides of the EP: Moments of drama with ambient soundscaping, live strings and Margo’s hauntingly honest vocals, merging into moments of Euphoric, ethereal, drum heavy dance music.
